DISABILITY ASSISTANCE

The Disability Assistance Program (DA) offers cash and help with the costs of health care. Some people who get DA only get help with the costs of their health care. The most cash one person can usually receive on DA is $115 a month. A person may receive assistance if he/she is: disabled, pregnant, a child (under 18), elderly (60 or older), or residing in an alcohol or drug addiction treatment center. If you live in Meigs County and feel you may be eligible to receive DA, you should contact the Meigs County Department of Job and Family Service to complete an application and schedule an appointment. You may stop in for an application or call 740-992-2117 and ask that one be mailed to you.
