CHILD CARE

The Meigs County Department of Job and Family Services (CDJFS) provides Child Care services to children of eligible parents in order to support their work and training efforts and to help the families achieve self-sufficiency. The goal of the subsidized child care delivery system in Ohio is to provide quality, dependable child care in homes and centers.

The local CDJFS determines eligibility for subsidized child care services, based on state determined financial guidelines. The local agency can assists parents in locating certified homes or licensed centers to meet their child care needs.

Individuals interested in obtaining information concerning available Child Care providers or if they are interested in becoming a Child Care Provider may contact the local agency at 740-992-2117 and ask for the Child Care Unit.
